M Tech Thermal Power Engineering is a two year post graduate course. It deals with science and technology related to thermal power. It is designed to provide an in-depth training in various aspects of design, manufacture, testing and evaluation of thermal power equipment. Thermal Power Plants play a huge role in power generation sector.

The course content aims at developing the necessary analytical and technical skill among engineers in this area. The course duration is generally a two year. However, it may vary from institute to institute and also may be on a part-time basis by certain institutes. The syllabus for the course is divided into four semesters plus some electives.

M.Tech.Thermal Engineering is a postgraduate course involving the concepts of energy efficiency, renewable energy & environmental preservation, and their entwinement with classical energy technologies and recently discovered technologies.

Eligibility

In order to join this course, you needs pass marks in GATE exam. You need 50% marks in B.Tech too.
