Kongunadu Arts and Science College

Kongunadu Arts and Science College is one of the best Autonomous Arts and Science colleges in Coimbatore. Kongunadu College started in the year 1973. The Kongunadu College is affiliated with Bharathiar University Chennai.

Kongunadu College is ideally located in serene and rural surroundings not far from the city. It is conveniently connected with all parts of the city through frequent town buses playing from various destinations. The University Grants Commission has awarded the prestigious award of College of Excellence during 2016-2017. The college has grown magnificently in academic stature with autonomous status having 13 research programmes, 11 PG programmes and 22 UG programmes. The college is imparting higher education to approximately 5000 students, the majority of whom hail from socially and economically weaker sections of society. More than 60% of the students studying in the college are girls and thus the college is playing a pivotal role in women’s empowerment and social justice.
