VLB Janakiammal College of Arts and Science Coimbatore is one of the best Arts and Science Colleges in Coimbatore. VLB College of Arts and Science is run under the VLB Trust. The trust was established in the year 1981. VLb college is affiliated with Bharathiar University.

The College has a dedicated office that looks after the physical infrastructure like classrooms, administrative buildings, laboratories, sports complexes and other physical assets including services like water supply, electric supply, and Transport facilities. The physical infrastructure maintenance is looked after by the Maintenance officer & Transport facilities are administered by the Transport officer. The library follows certain protocols in the usage of books. The entry register is kept for both staff and students at the entrance of the library and they can use their identity cards to take books from the library. Students can take books only after returning the previously borrowed books. At the end of every semester, all borrowed books must be returned to the library. The teacher’s book entry is maintained in a separate register.

Library

The college has excellent library facilities to support studies and research. The Library building, which is a large structure with a single central pillar, provides large unobstructed reading and referencing spaces. The VLB College Library is well stocked, well staffed and above all is constantly updated by additions. To meet the needs of teachers to keep abreast of the developments and for research referencing, over 142 printed periodicals are subscribed to in the different fields of study and an Online database (EBSCO) is available in the field of Management.

Hostel

The college provides separate hostel facilities for boys and girls. The residence is a model for comfortable living and learning for our students. It consists of a spacious living area with a Wi-Fi facility and an en-suite bathroom. Communal spaces are large, airy and designed to foster comfortable learning.
