ALJ College of Arts and Science Coimbatore is one of the best Arts and Science colleges in Coimbatore. AJK College of Arts and Science was established in 2007. The college has affiliated with Bharathiar University, Coimbatore.

The College is built on core fundamentals to create and nurture a talent pool of youth focused on curiosity, creativity, critique, and character. AJK College is the first affiliated institution in Tamil Nadu to offer a PhD in Catering Science and Hotel Management (CS&HM). The college provides a high degree of personalized education and supports the advancement and dissemination of knowledge through quality teaching, research and scholarly activities. In addition to academic, vocational, and technical skills, AJKCAS facilitates the students to gain knowledge and develop relevant values, attitudes, and skills for fuller participation in society through Life Skills.

Wi-Fi

Seamless Internet connection to laptops and smartphones is made through Wi-Fi hotspots available in the campus, Food Court and Hostels. 50 MBPS line from Reliance JIO and 50 MBPS line from BSNL are available. This high-speed Internet facility with firewall protection enables the students and staff to stay updated with the latest / current trends in their studies, research and career safely.

Hostel

Separate Hostels for boys and girls are functioning on the Campus. The hostel with spacious and well-furnished rooms is a home away from home for the students. Safe and comfortable stay in the pollution-free clean hostel blocks with hygienic washrooms makes the inmates concentrate well on their studies and career. Vegetarian and non-vegetarian foods are served in the hostel mess for the inmates. Other facilities include TV, recreation room and Wi-Fi access.

Language Lab

In our institution, we have Language Laboratory to improve the student’s communication skills by training, practising and testing their reading, writing, listening and speaking capacities with the help of thaliyola software. English department faculty gives this training. This training is not in the curriculum. This training will be very useful to students for clearing placements and exams like IELTS and TOEFL.
