GOVT. DISTRICT WENLOCK HOSPITAL is well, known Multi-Specialty 705 bedded hospital located in the heart of Mangalore city within the walking distance from campus. Lady Goschen hospital is the largest maternity hospital in Mangalore with a bed strength of 280 beds. The library is well-equipped and will be kept open during working hours of the Institution. Institute bus is provided for students to attend clinical postings, community area visits etc.

Vacation

4 weeks vacation is planned yearly, 2 weeks during December as Mid-Term Leave, 1 week as Preparatory holidays before Annual Exams and 1 week after Final exams as Annual Leave.

Extra Curricular Activities

Several opportunities are provided for the students to develop their skills and talents at various levels such as indoor-outdoor games and sports, picnics etc. Are organized to enhance social interaction and participation in a friendly competitive attitude. Students are encouraged to make use of these facilities. Membership in the Student Nurses Association (S.N.A) on local, state and national levels offers ample scope for the development of their knowledge and skills. Ragging

Ragging is a serious offence and is treated as a criminal and punishable offence. No student must indulge or encourage or support ragging of any kind. The anti-ragging committee of the Institute takes serious action in eradicating any ragging activity from the root.

Hostel Facility

– Separate accommodation available for both Girls & Boys – Compulsory for girls coming from t vicinity of Mangalore city and other states throughout the Course. – Hostel facility once opted, will be binding till the completion of the course. – Agreement is mandatory to avail Hostel facility – Students will be under the direct supervision of the Warden. – Food & Accommodation fees must be paid as per the rules of the Institution. – Management is not responsible for loss, theft or damage of valuables.

Examinations for M.Sc. Nursing, B.Sc. Nursing & P.C. B.Sc. Nursing are conducted by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences during the month of May/ September respectively every year. Karnataka State Diploma in Nursing Examination Board conducts examination for GNM during the month of August.
