United College of Medical Science Coimbatore is one of the best Medical institutions in Coimbatore Tamil Nadu. United College of Medical Sciences (UCMS) was established in the year 2017 under United Educational Institutions, Coimbatore, Affiliated with The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University.

United College Coimbatore is located at Periyanaickenpalayam in a 40-acre sprawling campus which is 4 KM away from Coimbatore – Mettupalayam Road. The College is housed on a campus with the most conducive atmosphere for academic preference. The United College provides a unitary Building with well-equipped spacious classrooms.

United College of Medical Science Coimbatore strictly abides by the directions of the Honourable Supreme Court of India, the Central & State government, and the UGC Regulations on Curbing the menace of Ragging in Higher Educational Institutions- 2009. Ragging in any form as mentioned in the UGC regulations is strictly banned in our institution.

The anti-ragging committee, Anti-ragging squad, and a monitoring committee have been formed in our institution to curb the menace. Well-equipped specifically designed labs with the necessary equipment for practicing and developing skills for the students of Nursing, Allied Health Science, Pharmacy Courses, etc.

Facilities Provided by United College

Hostel

United College provides a well-equipped hostel located on campus. Students can enjoy the large common area, modern kitchen, and some light study areas. The hostel is fully protected by wardens and 24×7 Security. Hygienic mess is provided with a nutritious food menu. United College provides separate hostels for boys and girls. Hostel rooms consist of a bed, study table, chair, and wardrobe. Separate hostels are provided for Boys and Girls.

Library

United College of Medical Science has an enviable library that houses a comprehensive collection of over 27,000 volumes covering all the discipline courses. All issue/return maneuvers are automated through ‘smart cards’ thus reducing the dependence of the student on library staff to minimal. The College also subscribes to several reputed journals and periodicals.

In addition, the services provided by Heli-Net and the DU library system help provide online access to hundreds of journals. The administration of the Library is fully computerized and provides the services of all the latest ICT tools.

Classrooms

United College of Medical Science provides classrooms that are fully furnished and properly ventilated. These lecture rooms are equipped with state-of-the-art multimedia facilities which include LCD projectors (2500ANSI lumen), K-Yarns, etc. Four tutorial rooms specifically for the students belonging to Mathematics and Commerce streams provide personalized teacher-student interaction in small groups.

Laboratories

United College of Medical Science Coimbatore provides seven fully-equipped laboratories for life sciences, computer science, physical sciences, chemical sciences, mass communication, and language. These laboratories help students complement their sound theoretical knowledge with hands-on application.

United College of Medical Science Coimbatore endeavours to equip students with the necessary skills required for their employability in the industry and other organizations. To meet this objective, the United college has established the Centre for Career Counselling & Employment to act as an interface between the college and the corporate world and perform an entire gamut of academic activities such as industry-academia interaction, guest lectures, corporate training, seminars, and workshops from time to time for strengthening corporate relations and ultimately help students getting placements.

United College also organizes personality development, career guidance, and counseling programs for the students to gear them up to take on the stiff competition in the corporate world.
