MSc Respiratory Therapy is a two year master degree course. It is the study of respiratory diseases and research. Basically, students who has a degree in respiratory therapy can apply for this. In other words, it is a career oriented PG programme for those students who have completed their UG in respiratory care.

The programme includes compulsory modules in respiratory disease and research methodology. And a number of optional modules including education, palliative care, global perspectives, non-pharmacological management and psycho-social factors of respiratory care. Students will learn about about initiation and weaning in mechanical ventilation, for initial set up on conventional ventilators and non invasive including calibration and trouble shooting adult, paediatric and neonates. They can also perform Clinical assessment of patients with cardio respiratory disorders, pulmonary function tests, diffusion lung capacity test.

MSc Respiratory Therapy Eligibility

Students needs to complete their UG in Respiratory Therapy or equivalent course. Universities might have another criteria too.
